Dr. Kelly & Freddy

Dr. Karen Kelly has been an associate veterinarian with SoCal Vet for over TWENTY years, generously donating her Fridays to helping our beloved patients and their people. 
Dr. Kelly was born and raised in San Diego; graduating from Torrey Pines High in Del Mar. Dr. Kelly then went on to graduate from Colorado State University in 1990, obtaining her B.S. (Bachelor of Science) in Environmental Health. In 1995, she graduated from the Iowa State University Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine program. Following her doctorate, Dr Kelly did her internship at California Animal Hospital immediately after graduation. Dr Kelly is a proudly published author in the current Textbook of Internal Medicine. She enjoys internal medicine; holistic medicine; Public Health; and preventative medicine. She has also historically served as President for the Westside Chapter of the Southern California Veterinary Medical Association. In her personal time, Dr. Kelly enjoys relishing the outdoors, spending time with her daughter and her partner, going to concerts, appreciating art, and so much more.
